At the United Nations Human Rights Organization (UNHRO), our mission is to uplift vulnerable communities across Sri Lanka by promoting dignity, justice, and equal opportunity. Guided by our principle, “Duty Before Rights” we empower low-income individuals through economic support initiatives, including concessionary grants, self-employment assistance, vocational training, and career guidance. We are committed to ensuring access to justice by providing free legal advisory services, while maintaining strict independence from political affiliations and religious influence. UNHRO does not collect public deposits, engage in religious conversion, or operate as a primary or secondary educational institution. Our humanitarian efforts extend to supporting the elderly, persons with disabilities, and orphaned children through food assistance and essential aid. We also contribute to hospitals and schools, organize medical and blood donation programs, and promote health awareness for the prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Through integrity, neutrality, and responsible action, we strive to build a fair, compassionate, and united society.
